The James River Yarn Crawl is scheduled for May 12-20, 2023, and the five participating shops have been behind the scenes creating an in-store and online event for all.
For nine days, fiber enthusiasts are invited to join either in-person or virtually!
Each shop will have events going on during the nine days including trunk shows. More information can be found on the James River Yarn Crawl website: www.JamesRiverYarnCrawl.com or on the James River Yarn Crawl’s Instagram and/or Facebook pages.
The Crawl will start with a bang as all five shops will co-host a Kick-Off party at 7 pm Thursday, May 11. During the party, each shop owner will walk you through highlights of what’s going on in each shop during the nine days. Also featured that evening will be Nailya Plaskey, the designer of this year’s Make-a-long shawls.
For those participating in-person, pick up your James River Yarn Crawl Passport from any participating shop and then tour and visit each of the yarn shops along the trail from Richmond to Virginia Beach. Once you make a purchase at each yarn shop, the shop will then stamp your passport. Once you have received stamps from all five shops, you can turn in your filled passport at the last shop on your trail.
All completed passports will be entered into the Grand Prize Giveaway! Shop prizes also will be at stake – valued at more than $150 each. You can pick up a James River Yarn Crawl Passport at any participating shop beginning May 12.
All shops will be open May 12-20 from 10 am to 5 pm, including Sunday, May 14, from 10 am to 5 pm.
For special parking considerations, please contact each yarn shop.
